Create beautiful ribbed ceramic bowls without a pottery wheel using this 3D printed plastic slump mold for clay slab building. Designed for potters, ceramic studios, beginners, and craft workshops, this mold helps you shape clean, consistent bowl forms with a refined fluted texture.

The ribbed interior creates elegant vertical grooves on the outside of the clay bowl, while the rounded shape helps the slab settle naturally into a smooth, balanced form. It is ideal for handmade tableware, decorative bowls, glaze tests, underglaze designs, slip decoration, decal work, and small-batch pottery collections.

This mold is available in multiple sizes from 12 cm to 36 cm before clay shrinkage. Most clays shrink around 10–12% during drying and firing, so please account for shrinkage when choosing your mold size.

Each mold is designed and 3D printed in France by DIY Project Depot using plant-based bioplastic. It is lightweight, durable, easy to handle, and a practical alternative to plaster molds for many slab-building projects.

Use it to make functional ceramic bowls, decorative clay pieces, market-ready pottery, holiday displays, handmade gifts, or beginner-friendly pottery projects.

How to Use

Roll out a clay slab, usually around 4–6 mm thick, and place it gently inside the mold. Press the clay into the ribbed form, allowing it to follow the shape naturally. Let the clay firm up until it can hold its structure, then remove it from the mold and refine the rim, base, and surface as needed.

The finished bowl can then be dried, decorated, bisque fired, glazed, and fired according to your usual ceramic process.
