Geometric Grid Bowl Slump Mold for Clay

The Checkers design is ideal for potters who want more than a plain round bowl. The square-inspired textured surface creates a strong visual rhythm and adds character even before glazing. This mold is designed for slab building pottery and is beginner-friendly. Simply place a rolled clay slab inside the slump mold, let it settle into the form, press gently, compress the surface, trim the edge, and allow the clay to firm up before demolding. As the clay dries, natural shrinkage helps release the piece more easily.

Please note that the final fired piece will be smaller due to normal clay shrinkage during drying and firing. For many clay bodies, total shrinkage is often around 10–12%, depending on the clay and firing temperature.
