Create elegant ceramic plates, dishes, and slab-built pieces with our Bastille clay mold, defined by its rounded square shape and softly raised border. It can be used as a hump mold, drape mold, plate mold, or general pottery slab mold, depending on your preferred forming method.

This 3D printed mold helps you produce clean, consistent forms with less effort, making it easier to recreate the same shape across multiple pieces. It is a practical choice both for beginners exploring slab-built tableware and for experienced potters developing coordinated collections.

Offered in multiple diameters, the Bastille mold lets you create matching sets in different sizes while preserving the same balanced and elegant silhouette throughout.

Designed and made in France
Every mold is designed and produced by us at DIY Project Depot in France.

Clay shrinkage note
Please remember that clay shrinks during drying and firing. A typical slab-built clay project often shrinks by around 10–12%, depending on the clay body and firing temperature. If you need a specific final size, be sure to account for shrinkage when selecting the mold diameter.

Helpful extra detail
The bottom of the mold includes the mold name and dimensions, making it easier to identify and organize in your studio.
