Create bold, deeply ribbed ceramic bowls without a pottery wheel using this 3D printed plastic slump mold for clay slab building. Designed for beginners, hobby potters, ceramic studios, and professional makers, this mold helps you form consistent bowl shapes with strong vertical grooves and a clean handmade look.

The deep ribbed texture creates a dramatic fluted surface on the outside of the clay bowl. It is ideal for handmade tableware, decorative ceramic bowls, glaze testing, underglaze decoration, slip work, paint effects, decals, craft fairs, pottery classes, and small-batch studio production.

This mold is available in sizes from 12 cm to 36 cm before clay shrinkage, approximately 4.7" to 14.2". Most clays shrink around 10–12% during drying and firing, so please choose your mold size with shrinkage in mind.

Each mold is designed and 3D printed in France by DIY Project Depot using plant-based bioplastic. It is lightweight, durable, easy to use, and more resistant to chipping than plaster molds, making it a practical tool for repeated slab pottery projects.

Use this mold to make textured ceramic bowls, fluted serving bowls, decorative relief bowls, handmade gifts, market-ready pottery, Christmas craft pieces, and beginner-friendly clay projects.

How to Use

Roll out a clay slab, usually around 4–6 mm thick, and place it gently inside the mold. Press the clay into the ribbed form so it follows the grooves and bowl shape. Let the clay firm up until it can hold its structure, then remove it from the mold and refine the rim, base, and surface as needed.

After drying, your ceramic bowl can be decorated, bisque fired, glazed, and fired according to your usual pottery process.
